About the Artwork

Kelly’s current project involves recreating surfaces from bodies of our solar system such as planets, moons and comets into a series of textured contemporary paintings that aim to give the public a more intimate view of our celestial neighbours. All artworks in the series are based from a mixture of observational photographs taken by the artist and image data sent back by deep space missions such as Cassini and New Horizons.
